Each author will be responsible for a prorated portion up to a total per-article cap of $3,000.

We have supported some papers with authors at other institutions, where the author had a previous but
not current aﬃliation with the university. In those cases we have allowed the institution to fund the
non-university authors’ shares.
We prorate reimbursements based on the number of authors on a paper. Only university-aﬃliated
authors are eligible for reimbursement.
A university-aﬃliated author is eligible for up to $1,500 per year to be applied to a single paper. Multiple
authors on the same paper don’t matter. For example, two local authors wouldn’t get $3,000 for a single
