University legal counsel supports rights negotiations as needed. Digitizing and creating born digital occasionally involves
(a) Media and Technology Services and (b) Office of Marketing and Communication. Users/faculty/donors may create
metadata for images.

Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) hosts a collaborative repository of Civil War images.
Because of our robust scholarly cyber-infrastructure, the university hosts over 500 different collections from the
university and partners. Additionally, all materials are accessible via record feeds in OAI-PMH, MARCXML, an API, and
search engines with SEO support done by the Libraries.
