employee benefit expenditures totaled $5.5 million and the difference in the total expenditures
between the two fiscal years was about $5 million.
8 15.9% decrease in total salaries and wages was due to the employee benefit expenditures not being
included in the 2011–12 total salaries and wages but in being included in the 2010–11 total. The
difference between 2011–12 and 2010–11 salaries and wages was about $5.2 million. The 2010–11
