“By policy here, records in inactive records storage remain in the legal custody of the office of origin.”
“Generally only the originating office views the records. Other individuals can view the records if there are no
restrictions placed on the records or if they receive permission from University Archives and Records and/or
the originating office.”
“Since the University does not maintain a records retention center, the departments decide who is able to
view their records. The departments also maintain their own policies for how records are seen.”
